What information is covered by the Privacy Act 1988?
The act covers personal information and sensitive information.

Sensitive information is "information or an opinion about and individual's

religious beliefs or affiliation, philosophical beliefs, membership of a professional
or trade association, membership of a trade union, sexual preferences, or criminal
record, which is also personal information, or any health information about
an individual".
What information do we collect?
Hillman Laxon Tobias only collects information that is necessary for us to
carry out your instructions.
This information includes your name, address, telephone number, date of birth
and all other information provided by you to us during the course of your matter.
This may include sensitive information and may also include information contained
in allegations your have made against another person, or in allegation that
a person has made against you.
