WHO WE ARE

Hillman Laxon Tobias is a firm established by lawyers experienced in various areas of the law, who have come together, not only because of their complementary expertise and services, but also because they share ideals and principles on the role of lawyers and what lawyers need to do for the public.

The principal lawyers of the firm are Brian Hillman, John Laxon and Deborah Tobias.

The firm is client focussed. Clients have access to principal lawyers at all times. Those lawyers apply themselves to clients' needs with ability and alacrity.

Hillman Laxon Tobias does not attempt to be "all things to all people." Our lawyers concentrate on those areas they know well and in which they can deliver.

Among themselves, the lawyers at Hillman Laxon Tobias practise teamwork and cross fertilisation of ideas. To respond to clients' needs as completely as possible, the team at Hillman Laxon Tobias works in close collaboration and harmony with consultants in both other areas of the law and in other disciplines. This is to allow us to formulate a commercially directed, competent, cohesive and coordinated plan of action for clients in any particular matter.

Similarly for international operations of clients we are able to offer advice and implement action ourselves as well through our associations with lawyers in foreign jurisdictions.

We know our role is to listen to our clients, absorb their information, work with them in defining what needs to be done, and then apply our skills to ensure it is done, and effectively.

The justification for our intervention is not only that the client is better off for that intervention, but also that we do our best to achieve the result necessary to the client.
